NFL picks – Super bowl picks

After the last two match ups one thing is certain – Patriots will miss this year’s Super Bowl. I will be Peyton Manning’s Denver Broncos who will face Cam Newton’s Carolina Panthers in the 50th Super Bowl, which many expect to be the final game of Manning’s career. Manning (39) is the oldest starting QB to lead a team to the Super Bowl. A lot of people expect his fourth Super Sunday to be the last one.
Carolina won 49-15 against the Arizona Cardinals for the NFC title Sunday night and Denver beat the New England Patriots 20-18 in the AFC, in large thanks to the league’s best defence, which led the rankings with 52 sacks and allowed fewer yards than any other team this season. Patriots missed some big plays but who knows how the game would have ended if kicker Stephen Gostkowski did not miss an extra-point attempt that allowed the Broncos to maintain a lead.

The Feb. 7 game at Santa Clara, Califonia, will be the Broncos’ eighth Super Bowl appearance and the Panthers’ second.

Last year, Bing Predicts predicted Patriots to win the Super Bowl for weeks before it finally happened and this year, it felt the same about the Patriots. Unfortunately, Denver pushed harder and left Bing Predicts at 50% success mark, correctly predicting Carolina to beat Arizona. That puts Bing Predicts on 162 – 100 for the season – 61.8%.

Let’s sit back and enjoy the Pro Bowl this Sunday while we wait for the battle!
